When you are trying to climb a mountain
From the bottom it feels domineering, gigantic, long and almost impossible to climb.
But as you slowly climb up and reach the top: you find it was not that hard or impossible of a task.
Everything from a distance or everything that you haven’t traversed feels distant, and big.
But when you traverse the path, the way, you realize it is not as difficult as you thought it was…whether it be walking or biking or learning something new or any task, at first it does feel overwhelming.
You have to understand you are not going to climb the big mountain in one sweep. You are going to climb only one step at a time.
That is your present! That is which is under your control.
We walk only a step at a time.
The big mountain maybe big, but as long as you move forward. With each step you will one day, without fail, will reach the peak.
Without taking the first step everything will feel distant.
This was written before my exams back in May of 2016 to motivate myself to study -while lying down on a coach procrastinating. Hahaha!
My Favorite quote from Charlie Munger – the self-made Billionaire & one of the smartest person in the world – on Step by Step
“Spend each day trying to be a little wiser than you were when you woke up. Discharge your duties faithfully and well. Step by step you get ahead, but not necessarily in fast spurts. But you build discipline by preparing for fast spurts… slug it out one inch at a time, day by day. At the end of the day – if you live long enough – most people get what they deserve. “
