👉 By Friday night, we had a full-fledged tournament — complete with players, trophies, prizes, and an electrifying atmosphere.
In just 3 days, an idea transformed into a memorable chess event.

The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from players across levels — from beginners to experienced competitors.

A Special Presence: Grandmaster RR Laxman
We were honored to have Grandmaster RR Laxman, widely respected as a Blitz King, participate in the event.
His presence elevated the tournament to another level:
- Lightning-fast calculation
- Deep positional understanding
- Calmness under time pressure
For many young players, it was a rare opportunity to observe and play alongside a Grandmaster — an experience that will stay with them for years.
A Unique Blend: Chess Meets Vedic Wisdom
One of the most meaningful aspects of this tournament was bringing together two powerful disciplines:

👉 Vedic Astrology – the science of time, patterns, and life cycles
Shri E. K. Dhilip Kumar Ji
We were deeply honored to have Shri E. K. Dhilip Kumar Ji, a renowned Vedic astrologer, participate in this event.
- Has guided prominent personalities including
Rajinikanth and Ajith Kumar - A respected teacher and our Guruji, who laid the foundation of Vedic astrology for us
- A thinker who connects patterns in life and patterns on the chessboard
Interestingly, Grandmaster RR Laxman also shares a deep interest in Vedic astrology and holds great respect for Guruji — making this interaction even more meaningful.
A Beautiful Story from the Past
Guruji shared a fascinating memory involving
Viswanathan Anand — the World Champion.
He has played 300+ games with a young Anand.
One story stands out:
At the Tal Chess Club, Guruji once defeated Anand.
Anand immediately demanded a rematch — not just one, but until he won three games in a row.
At the same time, a popular movie had just released, and everyone in the club left to watch it.
But Anand stayed back.
Because for him, settling the score mattered more than entertainment.
That moment perfectly captures:
- Anand’s tenacity
- His love and obsession for chess
- The mindset of a true champion
We are also proud to share that Guruji was part of Seed Succeed Academy in 2020, strengthening our connection even further.
